Labor Costs for Installing Laminate Flooring?
I got a quote for about $1500 for labor to install Laminate Flooring for about 800 sft. No stairs. Does this seem excessive? I was thinking it would be no more than $800.
It really depends on alot of things, such as what type of laminate flooring (click together or nail down) and if there is much prep work to do and if they will install any shoe moulding afterwards. If it is a click together laminate and you live in a place where the median house price is <$300K, then you could likely find cheaper. I live in Boston area and to refinish a hardwood floor, $2/sqr foot is typical, but that could take 2 days where as 800 sqr ft of laminate installation should take only 1 day for experienced pros.
Always get multiple bids and ask for a detailed description of the work to be done and have a contract. if using laminate click together consider a DIY project.
That Depends entirely where u are at?
cost vary nation wide.
get 3 more bids . throw out the highest and lowest ,chose between the others.
Or visit library to figure out ur learning curve to do it urself.
hardest part is moving all the junk out of the room.
