PostHeaderIcon Cork Flooring: Lumber Liquidators or Home Depot?

I want to redo my kids rooms in cork floating floor. I am considering Lumber Liquidators Lisbon Van Gogh Flooring or Home Depots Home Legend cork flooring ( not sure what color). Both are around $3.50/sf. I saw a site that complained a lot about lumber liquidators hardwood floor and customer service so now am leary about them. I would prefer Lowes Cork Flooring (you can take samples home) but their price is almost double and I only have $2000 for both rooms (about 200 sf each) Anybody have any experience with either of these products? I just don’t want to waste my $2000 for a bad product. Please advise.

A lot of the LL products are 2nds and discontinued items. Not all but a lot. At least HD has current products. private labeled but current. This don t mean that if you choose a product it can be dropped tomorrow.
I ve never heard of either product but that is because its most likely a private label which keeps you from shopping some where else.
That doesn t mean it isn t a good product, because w/o the specs and warranty info I can t say.
Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL

What is the best brand/s of floating cork flooring? I plan to install in dining room. (We have 3 messy kids.)?

All I can say is try not to get a "Limited Edition" Floor, Cork is more prone to knicks and scratchs but still a wonderful floor, Im not knocking it!! :) I LOVE IT! Whatever the better price is and here’s some info on cork floors -A buyers guide so you can get all the right questions answered - this helps so you don’t let someone talk you into buying a crappy product! :
Here’s a checklist : G through all these options before you buy

P.S. what i mean by not getting a "limited edition" or discount floor etc. is that the manufacturer may stop making it one day, or as it is limited edition you will need to buy enough for the future just in case it gets damaged and needs to be replaced….. go with a common brand, something with a great warranty
